The answer was a custom made solution

THE CHALLENGE:

Our client used very heavy and thick cables in several parts of the production of wind turbines. Flexibility is a very important parameter in the installation of the cables and especially at low installation temperatures it took extra installation time, simply because the cables got stiff and inflexible.

THE SOLUTION:

Newtronic developed a custom designed heating oven that fits entire cable rolls. These are heated to a temperature that maintains the flexibility of the cable over a longer period. The heating oven, that is continuously filled with cable rolls, ensures a consistent and continuous flow in the production.
